Jason and Michaela Johnstone - Management and Hosts
Our wonderful hosts at Old Mondoro and who should be familiar to many of you,
having wonderfully played the same role for us at Chiawa Camp for the 2008 &
2009 safari seasons. Both have uni degrees in Tourism & Hospitality, are bright,
personable and competent, with lashings of relevant experience - including having
just spent a year out running a small boutique hotel on a private island in the
Pacific, we feel they bring the ideal combination of bush and sophistication to
the precious, inimitable place that is Old Mondoro.
Levy Farao - Head Guide
Levy has been at Old Mondoro pretty much since its inception and
has a knack for finding excellent sightings including an amazing
scene of four lions chasing three leopards (yes, 3 allegedly elusive
spotted cats) up a tree one morning. Easy going and knowledgeable,
Levy makes a safari into the Lower Zambezi’s bush a delight and adventure.
Sebastian Sakala - Guide
Sebastian is one of an exclusive club of guides in the Lower Zambezi that is licensed to
carry out drives, walks and canoeing. Multi skilled and personable, Seb spent two seasons
at Chiawa Camp before joining the Old Mondoro team where he will bring his welcome skill,
choice and personality into the mix.
